Design finished

Hello my readers, I hope your week is going fantastic and are all excited for school start next week, which I doubt nobody is excited considering its school after all. I might point this out now, but since school is starting I won't have as much time to do personal drawings - although, since I'm doing art this year, I could post my assignments. I don't know to be honest, I guess time will tell x

Anyways, back to my product. If you're a constant reader, you'll know I made a post a couple of days back showing my sketches of what the product should look like when it is completed, if you want to read that post and learn more about just click here. To be honest, I'm not sure what I'm suppose to write about my product - its not something I can just say, what I screwed up because I think it went perfect (so modest right ?) Anyways, this is going to be a short post for that reason and plus, I have writers block c:

This is a picture of the band on my model, yes its just a foam head with a wig. Since I don't want a picture of me in a girls headband floating around the internet. For some reason, I've called my model Sandy, not sure why, but I like the name and she'll be modeling for me until I finished my ambitions with designing head accessories.

Sorry for the wait !

Good afternoon guys! I hope you're all looking forward to the week ahead and possibly a cooler change for where I live (SA)

Anyways, I'm terribly sorry for such a delayed drawing - I've been working on my headband and bow piece for most of the week and the good news that it is nearly finished ! But wait, there's more good news. Now, you could be thinking 'what could possibly be better than that' well, I'll be posting the final product tomorrow. How exciting ! Two posts on the same week ? I think the week has gotten a whole lot more awesome

Enough about that, here is today's drawing. It's of Alice in her crazy wonderland. Although, I haven't drawn any of her wacky friends, I've drawn her into a stance of wonder and amazement.

I've drawn her in the classic blue and white dress, which was in both of the movies ( the original and the Tim Burton remake) The thing that bugs me though about this drawing though is how weird her legs stand, and her feet, then again what feet ?

I don't know, I'm just being very critical. Anyways, I'll see you all tomorrow !
Lots of love, Matt xoxo

New Topic : Hands on

Hello my lovely readers, I hope your weekend was has fabulous as mine. Today's drawing is a little different, well, its not really a drawing is more or a plan inside of a sketch. For some reason, I've had this fantasy of designing clothes for the top brands - but since this dream is quite big and needs a LOT of work, I thought I might start out small - and by this, I mean designing hair accessories. I feel like this is a two step plan and here how it goes in my mind :

1. Buy different types of pre-made items and put them together to create one head-gear, for example, a cotton head-band and a bow ( this is what today's sketch is, but more on that later)

2. Actually create each part of the accessory by hand and them sew them together ( this will take awhile so don't expect this step to be put in place for a very long time !)

Although, this may stop and start with step one because it obviously requires money and since I don't have a job, I won't have a steady income for my projects nor will I be selling my products (although, I might, depends what kind of feed back I get on the item) I might give them away in contests or just give them to a random follower because I can ? Who knows, leave a comment of what you think of this idea ( like should I sell them if I get a good review)

Today's sketch is quite simple, it's just a black headband with a black bow. Although it's simple, I feel like it still has a nice and lovely effect. It's something that I believe can look good with most outfits.

I've done two sketches, one with just the band :

And one with a human face :

Not only do I have the plans all done and ready, I've already bought the items that I need to create them. I got them from "Browse in and Save", they're sort of like a Kmart or a Target but much cheaper. Here are the two items I plan to use to create my band

The bow :

Cost : $3.00
The band :

Band : $3.00

I know there is no point showing you the two different items, but I thought someone might be a little interested in it. Obviously the total cost is $6.00, which is a pretty good price, because I checked online and you could buy one from over-seas and it'd cost you $11.93 just for the band, no doubt there'd be shipping costs (although, I didn't see any, I just assume - click here to look at the one I found). Also, to answer the question, "when will we see the final product" I'm not sure, I'll need to sew the bow on but there's the problem of not knowing how to sew ! My mother is planning to teach me how, so, I'll post when I've learnt how to sew

That is all for now my readers, the next drawing will be posted on Wednesday ( I hope, I still need to draw it !) Good-bye to you all x

Commission drawing finally completed !

Hello my readers !

If you read my last post, you would of known that that I've been working on a commission for one of my new followers ! Before I start to discuss my drawing, I might just go over the "I want a commission drawing done of my avatar"

If you'd like one to be completed, start following me or add me in your circles ( so you'll know when I've posted something) then, send me an email of your avatar with the subject "draw this". I also might add, this is only for the first couple followers because if I drew one for every single person, it will get out of hand and take awhile ! So, if you'd like one done, start following me today !

Okay, the drawing I've drawn is from "Cbear121" and she's from the website Stardoll. If you're Curious of what stardoll is, here is the official trailer for the game! If you're too lazy to watch ( which would be really strange because you don't need to do anything, here is the basic re-cap)                                                                                                   Stardoll is a browser based game, in which you can create a doll whom you can buy clothes for, change their appearance and decorate their suite (home). Whilst among all the shopping and decorating you'll be doing - you can go to chat rooms so you can meet new people and make friends ! Its all in stardoll's motto, "Fashion, Fame, Friends"

Here is Cbear121's doll, isn't she beautiful ! I especially love her hair and how well the black transitions into the dark blue so smoothly and lovely ! Anyways, here is my version of her doll

The final out-come :

I drawing, personally was quite difficult because of the face - since the eyes she had choose were a little small, it was difficult to do the fine details. Even now though, the eyes aren't as perfect as I would like them to be, but, that's something I'm going to have to live with ! The lips were also quite hard to draw, but then again, lips are hard to draw in the first place and they could of gone 10x worst

Thank you for being so patient with this ! I've been sort of working on a new project that has consumed me because of what it is ! I don't want to spoil it to much, but, I'll tell you this - its a head accessory and I plan to make it ! So its a hands on project.
I'll post the sketch tomorrow, since I've already drawn it up. Although, I'm not sure when I'll post the actual finished product because I need some time to learn how to sew (fun !)

Good bye all and stay tuned for the tomorrows sketch !
P.S I'd like to finish this post with a link to Cbear121 suite on stardoll, so you can see the real model.
Just click here to check out her suite !

Lots of love, Matt

I do not own the video, or any rights to it and so fourth !

Just a random drawing ?

Good morning everybody - I hope your sleep was as good as mine ! Anyways, I've done this drawing as a little intermission for my next drawing - it is taking a little longer than expected. It's actually sort of a commission drawing for someone who recently started following me. It's a drawing of their avatar ! Get excited for that, it will be released on Friday, Saturday at the latest. I'll talk about that a little later on !

Today's drawing is something completely random and strange, to be honest, I have no idea what was going through my mind when I drew it but here it is :

Whatever it is, I love the final out-come - there isn't any mistakes with the inking nor the shading I've done. As you can obviously see, I've sort of stuck with the greens and browns which may symbolize the outdoors ? (Dirt and grass) I don't know !

Although, even though I love the out-come there are a two things that annoy me. It doesn't seem like much, but it gets me paranoid!

Start things off, what on earth is he hold ? Is he texting his girlfriend or looking at a blank piece of paper ? Who knows, but not knowing makes me annoyed considering I drew him holding something! I guess it's going to be one of those art mysteries, sort of like why is the Mona Lisa smiling.

Secondly his legs - who actually has a pose like that ? It seems so... Unnatural and sort of like he's been posses by a leg demon and it gives him the ability to stretch his legs to un-human like proportions. Or he's double jointed. Although, that's not as fun as a leg demon.

Another post ended but another will be coming soon!
I thought I might just talk about this for a second, since I'm sure you'd like to know (even if you don't, just stay and read, it may interest you !)

Commission drawings : What I like to do is, when someone starts to follow my and they were invited from a game or a website, I'll do a drawing of their avatar, to make them feel welcome and that I care about my readers ! So, if you'd like a commission drawing of your avatar, just follow my blog and then send me a picture of your avatar to cheekychat988@gmail.com.

Thanks so much for support a little mans dream !

Lots of love, Matt

P.S here is a random selfie I took whilst I finished the drawing this morning !

Elsa from Frozen

Hello my fellow bloggers, drawers and readers. I've recently watched Disney's new movie, Frozen and I've instantly fell in love with the characters. If you don't know the movie, or you'd like to know what it is about, he's the official trailer for it !

I've decided to base my drawing on Elsa, the woman who has brought Arendelle into an enternal winter. She was told to keep her powers a secret so she wouldn't harm anybody, but once her powers were revealed to the village, people were frighted and she was too. Elsa decided to leave Arendelle forever.

This is the original picture, this is what I based my drawing on :

                                                            This is my drawing :

I'm pretty happy with the final out-come, besides a few minor details that I will explain later on because I want to teach you what I've done wrong so you don't do the same. The hardest bit of the drawing was the hair because of two main aspects - first off, getting the layers of her hair correct because of the hair being pushed back. Second, the colour of it. This may seem a bit silly, but her hair colour is very hard to get right because it's so light, so I had to shade a yellow and a light grey together to create the correct shade !

Things that could be improved :

First, I do not like the way I've done the lips - they seem unnatural and thin. Although, I find drawing mouths hard anyway and its not the worst mouth that I've ever drawn

The last thing that I failed at was her boobs. They're uneven and slightly pointy. I don't draw them often though, so I assume I'll get better at it once I get more practice

That Is all for now, I hope you love the drawing and get ready for the next drawing coming your way.. At some point.

If you have any suggestions for ways I could improve the blog or a drawing, even a suggestion for a drawing, send me an email at cheekychat988@gmail.com. I'll probably do it !
Lots of love, Matt
